In Westport, Schumacher Farm set to begin machinery shed project

The lean-to would allow machinery to be displayed outdoors and provide space for workshops and demonstrations.

The Friends of Schumacher Farm Park has gained all county and town approvals needed to construct a machinery shed on the 80-plus acre site; now all they need is the balance of the funds to do so.

The county-owned Town of Westport farm park Friends group has raised about 70% percent of the $331,000 cost, leaving $85,000 needed in contributions.
