Letter: Fans get the shaft
Well, the big boys win again.
If you are a Wildcat basketball fan, the move to the Big 12 has squashed our ability to watch the team play. It’s not enough to have ESPN. No, nope. The majority of the games are played on ESPN+ which is at an additional cost to watch.
We got ESPN thinking we’d get all the ESPNs: ESPN 2, u, etc. Oh -- not ESPN+. That’s extra.
Why? It’s like a select club you need to belong to.
Gone are the days when we were so excited for the game. Not now.
Don’t get me wrong. We are Cats fans. That’s why we are so torqued off about the TV contracts that screw the fans.
Should have known when the universities sold out to bigger conferences it wouldn’t be good for us.
I hope the powers that be are proud of themselves for ruining college sports for the average fan.
Money beats all.
