Sinkhole Fix, Route 295 Bridge Work In Levittown
LEVITTOWN, PA —PennDOT crews will be out this week, starting Monday in Croydon where emergency repairs will be made on a sinkhole, while also continuing Route 295 bridge work.
On Friday, Bristol Township posted on its Facebook page that a sinkhole led to the emergency closure of Cedar Avenue between Sycamore and Pennsylvania Avenues.
Bristol Township fire police and public works crews were out monitoring the sinkhole.
Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that bridge repairs will continue this week on Interstate 295 under a $44.6 million bridge improvement project to perform high-priority repairs on several structures on interstates in Philadelphia, Delaware, and Bucks counties.

Driscoll Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
